Ghanaian legal luminary, Tsatsu Tsikata has sued Kofi Akpaloo, the Presidential Candidate of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) at the Accra High Court.
Kofi Akpaloo has been sued by the veteran lawyer for alleging that he is supporting former president John Dramani Mahama in the 2024 elections because he wants to continue enjoying the state contracts he benefited during the latter’s first tenure in office from 2012-2016.
Tsatsu Tsikata in his suit filed by Tony Lithur of Lithur Brew and Company seeks compensation from Kofi Akpaloo for destroying the plaintiff’s hard-earned reputation.
The lawsuit emphasised that the comments paint Mr. Tsikata as a self-serving individual whose views are influenced by personal gain, undermining his credibility as a public figure.
Tsatsu Tsikata was the lead counsel for the National Democratic Congress in both the 2012 and 2024 election petition at the Supreme Court.
