Israel has launched attacks on southern Lebanon after noting a breach in a ceasefire deal between the Israeli military and Lebanese military forces, Hezbollah.
Reports indicate that Israeli tanks launched attacks on six areas in southern Lebanon on Thursday.
The Israeli military said its ceasefire with Hezbollah was breached after what it called suspects, some in vehicles, arrived at several areas in the southern zone.
Israel warned southern settlers on Wednesday to not move into the marked area for their own safety.
Lebanese authorities and state media confirmed that Israel military launched attacks on Markaba, Wazzani and Kfarchouba, Khiyam, Taybe and the agricultural plains around Marjayoun, all of which lie within two kilometres of the Blue Line demarcating the border between Lebanon and Israel.
