Former president of Techiman City Football Club, Charles Ntim popularly know as Mickey Charles, has strongly criticized Black Stars coach Otto Addo, claiming that the coach has “lost the dressing room” amid signs of disunity and lack of trust within the team.
Speaking in an interview on Happy Sports, Mickey Charles questioned Addo’s leadership, pointing out inconsistencies in captaincy and a troubling level of disconnect with players.
“Otto Addo cannot handle the Black Stars; he has lost the dressing room. No wonder he can have three different captains during the last three qualification games.”
Adding to the controversy, Mickey Charles revealed that some players are allegedly reluctant to play under Otto Addo.
He cited the example of Antoine Semenyo, who reportedly feigned injury during the recent international break to avoid joining the team. “70% of players who reported injuries were able to play for their clubs over the weekend,” Ntim claimed.
Otto Addo failed to qualify Ghana for the 2025 AFCON for the first time in 20 years after placing 4th with 3 points in 6 games during the qualifiers.
