The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has dissolved the Black Stars Management Committee with immediate effect.
This decision comes after the Black Stars’ failure to qualify for the 24-nation African Cup of Nations tournament in December 2025 in Morocco.
The Black Stars finished bottom in their group with only three points after six games without winning a single game behind Angola, Sudan and Niger.
The Executive Council of the GFA after an emergency meeting on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, took the decision to dissolve the management body of the team.
“Immediate dissolution of the Management Committee of the senior national football team, the Black Stars. In doing so, we sincerely thank the members of the Committee for their service to Ghana Football over the years,” part of the statement read.
They also announced that they will meet coach Otto Addo and review his report before any decision can be taken about his future in the Black Stars.
“The Executive Council will meet the Head Coach of the Black Stars, Mr. Otto Addo, on the 27th of November, 2024, to discuss his Technical report on the just ended AFCON qualifiers and the overall performance of the Technical team since assuming duty earlier this year.”
