Chip embedded passport is to meet international standards- Akufo- Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding Ghana’s peace and stability as the nation approaches the December elections.

Speaking at the 2nd Edition of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) Excellence Awards on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), he assured Ghanaians of his dedication to maintaining a steadfast and resilient democracy as his tenure draws to a close.

President Akufo-Addo emphasized that the right to free and fair elections is non-negotiable, and he remains committed to protecting Ghana’s democratic values. He declared that no politician or political party will be allowed to compromise the peace and stability that the nation has long enjoyed.

“As I come to the conclusion of my tenure, I want to reassure all Ghanaians that our democracy will remain steadfast and unshaken. The right to free and fair elections is non negotiable, and I’m committed to ensuring that the will of the people prevails in every election, no ambitions of any politician or political party will ever compromise the peace and stability that we as a nation have worked so hard to build and enjoy”, he said

He encouraged Ghanaians to participate in the upcoming elections without fear, reassuring them that he is determined to ensure a peaceful and orderly electoral process.
