Kudus Mohammed will not captain the Black Stars for the AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger, head coach Otto Addo has announced.
Otto Addo who confirmed that captain Thomas Partey will not make the strip announced that Jordan Ayew will lead the team against Angola and Niger.
He told the media at the squad announcement press conference that Kudus will continue to play leadership role in the team but Jordan Ayew will be the captain.
“Jordan Ayew will captain the Black Stars in the absence of Thomas Partey as I believe Mohammed Kudus still has a lot to learn,” Otto Addo said.

The Black Stars will face Angola in Luanda on Friday, November 15, before hosting Niger for the final game of the qualifiers at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, November 18, 2024.
