A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Brogya Genfi has raised serious allegations against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) regarding the resurgence of the Delta Force militant group.
According to a Facebook post by Brogya Genfi, the Delta Force group, which is affiliated with the NPP, has reportedly regrouped and is actively training over 100 members at the Bondase military training camp.
In an open letter directed at the U.S. Embassy in Ghana, he expressed concern about the group’s alleged activities, highlighting that Bondase is a facility the United States assisted the Ghana Armed Forces to rebuild and equip. Brogya Genfi’s post urged the U.S. Embassy to take note of this development, warning of potential motives that could impact Ghana’s upcoming elections and the country’s democratic stability.
“We all know the timing of this training suggests some sinister motives towards undermining the elections and our democracy,” he wrote. He also copied the Ghana Police Service, calling on law enforcement to investigate the situation and uphold democratic principles.
