President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bessa Simons, has described the introduction of the Ghana Music Xperience (GMX) platform onto the Ghanaian music scene as a monumental one.
Celebrating this transformative moment in Ghanaian music, he noted that “GMX is our very own streaming platform made by Ghanaians for Ghanaians, representing a powerful step forward in uniting our musicians under a strong banner which supports their growth and success.”
With MUSIGA’s mission geared towards fostering a supportive environment where artistes can thrive and be equipped to be self reliant, GMX is an added arsenal to the complete attainment of this goal.
“GMX is more than a streaming service. It is a platform by musicians for musicians and is a platform for musicians to receive fair compensation. Every stream and download will contribute to the success of our artistes. The platform (GMX) is a testament to our strength and unwavering commitment to the Ghanaian music industry,” Bessa Simons stated during the launch of the platform and urged Ghanaians to embrace GMX.
With the commitment towards educating and supporting members of MUSIGA, GMX will double as a resource for learning and provide opportunities for Ghanaian artistes to succeed.
Bessa Simons charged creative arts industry players to embrace digitalisation as “this revolution is not going to stop.”
