The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Jaman North Constituency, Enoch Nyarko has vehemently denied allegations made by members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) linking him to illegal mining, popularly known as galamsey.
Speaking during a Victory Walk at Duadaso No. 1&2, Nyarko expressed concern over the devastating impact of galamsey on lands and water bodies in the locality. He emphasized that he could not possibly be involved in such destructive activities.
Instead, he accused NDC members of being the true perpetrators of galamsey, attempting to tarnish his reputation for political gain. He pointed out that, despite not yet being a Member of Parliament, he has already facilitated numerous development projects in various sectors of the district.
Nyarko highlighted the stark contrast between his achievements and the NDC’s lack of initiatives in the district. This, he believes, demonstrates his readiness to bring positive change to the constituency when elected. He urged his constituents to rally behind the NPP’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in the upcoming December polls.
