The Ghana Police Service has refuted allegations of a shooting incident at the Kumasi office of the Electoral Commission (EC).

In a Facebook post, the police emphasized that no demonstrator has been injured by law enforcement officers, contrary to reports circulating in some sections of the media.

The police clarified that while demonstrators breached an agreed arrangement by attempting to force their way into the EC office compound, the situation was brought under control without any gunfire.

They called on media outlets to exercise caution and verify information before publication to avoid spreading false narratives.
