Convener of the one Ghana Movement Senyo Hosi has accused government of inaction and failure to protect the environment. According to him, government is rather focusing on “their short-term myopic interest” instead of a “long – term well – being of the nation.
He said, “my children, and the future of your children mandate us to stand up for Ghana at this time.”
He added that, illegal mining has contaminated 60% of Ghana’s water bodies, pushing the nation closer to a water crisis.
According to him, Ghana’s constitution places water bodies and its natural resources in trust of the President. He questioned, “where is that trust? Where is the sense of responsibility?”
