The NPP parliamentary aspirant disqualified from contesting in the Bimbilla constituency, Ahmed Zaruk Nuhu has declared that he will not pursue an independent candidacy in the forthcoming elections.
Initially, Zaruk’s disqualification from challenging incumbent have MP and Defence Minister Dominic Nitiwul sparked widespread outrage among his supporters, leading to protests and destruction of the party’s office. Although some supporters urged him to run as an independent candidate, Zaruk, affectionately known as “Sokam Zaruk,” has opted not to do so, choosing instead to maintain his allegiance to the NPP.
Following consultations with senior party members and influential stakeholders, Ahmed Zaruk Nuhu announced his decision not to pursue an independent candidacy. He reaffirmed his allegiance to the NPP, pledging to uphold the party’s principles and values.
