The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has approved the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi for the hosting of games ahead of the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The qualifiers of 2025 Morocco African Cup of Nations will start in September 2024 with the Black Stars playing against the Palancas Negras of Angola in a doubleheader.
The Black Stars will host the Palancas Negras in Kumasi at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium before the return leg at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in Talatona near Luanda.
The first leg of Ghana’s doubleheader against Angola according to CAF will he held on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
Ghana and Angola both faced off in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers with the Black Stars beating the Negras 1-0 in Kumasi and pulling a 1-1 draw on the road.
