President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has issued a clarion call to African leaders to prioritize quality education, emphasizing its pivotal role as the backbone of every nation’s development and progress.
Speaking at the milestone 50th-anniversary celebration of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) and the launch of the Arab-Africa financial consortium in Accra on Sunday, President Akufo-Addo stressed that investing in quality education is crucial for empowering young people to succeed in the 21st century.
He underscored that education is the key to unlocking individual and national potential, driving innovation, and meeting future goals. Therefore, African countries, the Arab World and the global community must prioritize education and vocational training for the youth, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in an increasingly complex and competitive world.
By doing so, Africa can harness its demographic dividend, drive sustainable development, and take its rightful place on the global stage.
