President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has granted a two-year contract extension to Auditor-General Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu, who was initially set to retire on August 1, 2024, allowing him to continue serving in his role for an additional two years.
A letter issued by the Audit Service on June 19, 2024, congratulated Auditor-General Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu on his contract extension, which was approved by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, paving the way for him to continue leading the Audit Service for an additional two years.
“I wish to bring to the information of all staff that His Excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana, has extended the tenure of the office of the Auditor General, Mr. Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu for the next two years,” the notice read.
