In a proactive move to enhance the dissemination of vital information to the public, the Current Affairs Department of Happy 98.9 FM paid a courtesy call on the Corporate Affairs Department of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA). This meeting aims to forge a partnership between the two institutions to improve access to information for the station’s listeners.

Representing Happy 98.9 FM were Mr. Isaac Addae, Head of Current Affairs and Mr. Frank Afful, a producer of the popular late afternoon political talk show, “Epa Hoa Daben?”. The NPA’s delegation comprised members of their Corporate Communications Bureau headed by Mr. Kudus Mohammed.

Discussions focused on ways to leverage the strengths of both institutions to enhance public understanding of petroleum-related issues. Mr. Addae emphasized the importance of accurate and timely information in shaping public discourse and policy understanding. He noted that partnerships like this are crucial for media houses to deliver well-rounded and factual content to their audiences.

Mr. Afful highlighted the significant role the Current Affairs department of Happy 98.9 FM plays in providing a platform for critical political dialogue and public engagement. He expressed optimism that collaboration with the NPA would enrich the content of the show by incorporating expert insights and up-to-date information on the petroleum sector.

The NPA’s Corporate Communications Bureau welcomed the initiative, acknowledging the pivotal role of media in educating the public and promoting transparency.

Mr. Mohammed expressed the unit’s commitment to supporting Happy FM’s efforts to inform and engage listeners on pertinent issues affecting the petroleum industry. Both parties agreed on the need for regular interactions and the sharing of information to ensure that the public is kept well-informed.

This collaboration is expected to lead to more in-depth discussions on the Happy Morning Show and “Epa Hoa Daben?” which are the core programs of the Current Affairs department and other programs on Happy 98.9 FM, providing listeners with valuable insights into the workings of the National Petroleum Authority and the broader energy sector.
