The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Director of Communications, Richard Ahiagbah, has given assurances that the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is committed to expanding and strengthening the free senior high school program, building on its successful implementation, and ensuring its continued benefits for Ghanaian students and families.
Richard Ahiagbah alleged that John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, intends to scrap the free senior high school policy if elected. He therefore urged Ghanaians to vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2024 general elections to ensure the continuation and expansion of the policy, which has benefited numerous students and families.
On X platform (former Twitter), Mr Ahiagbah posted “Ghanaians can rest assured that as president, Bawumia will intensify the implementation of the Free SHS policy. However, H.E. Mahama and the NDC have criticized the Free SHS policy and called it a scam. They are plotting to abolish/cancel it unless you STOP them by voting for Bawumia.”
