Abigail and Afronita, the Ghanaian dancing duo on Britain’s Got Talent, thrilled both the live audience and fans at home with their performance.

Dance teacher Afronita, 20, and her seven-year-old protégé Abigail, won the public vote in Thursday’s fourth semi-final, securing their place in Sunday’s final.

Afronita and Abigail delivered an electrifying Azonto routine, a dance and music genre from Ghana, set to “Brighter Days” by Sigala.

The roars from the Eventim Apollo audience were so loud that judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli could barely hear themselves give feedback.

Simon revealed he believed the duo had a chance of winning, admitting he had “changed his mind” about who he thought would be victorious.

On Thursday, Britain’s Got Talent’s Ghanaian dancing duo Abigail and Afronita sent both the audience and fans at home wild with their performance.

Dance teacher Afronita, 20, and her seven-year-old protégé Abigail triumphed in Thursday’s fourth semi-final, winning the public vote and earning a spot in Sunday’s final.

‘I think what is happening behind me [the deafening cheers] is more important than what I say,’ Simon said.

‘When you’ve got it, you’ve got it. I thought last night “Yeah I’ve got a feeling I know who’s going to win the show this year,” and I’ve just changed my mind.’

Afronita met young Abigail, a deaf dancer who later won a significant talent competition in Ghana, when she opened her studio.

Their performance electrified the venue, eliciting deafening cheers from the audience.

Alesha remarked on their act, saying, “Sometimes there aren’t enough words to articulate how an act makes you feel because the audience says it for us.”

‘So much natural sauce, so much flavour, so much personality, so much joy that you just brought to the Britain’s Got Talent stage. I would love to see you in the final.’

Responding to how the comments made her feel, Afronita said: ‘I feel blessed. I feel so blessed to be here and to see the audience on their feet, the judges happy. It’s crazy. And I know she feels the same way [gesturing to Abigail].’
