Medeama was totally dominated in their CAF Champions League Group D game against Yanga at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium.
The Ghanaian champions were beaten 3-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
Medeama couldn’t contain Yanga’s swift attackers throughout the first half.
Ivorian attacker Peodoh Pacome Zouzoua who scored against Medeama in Kumasi opened the scoring for Yanga in the 33rd minute.
Goalkeeper Felix Kyei made some brilliant saves for Medeama to keep the score at 1-0. Yanga had a 62 percent ball possession in the first half and Medeama had 38 percent.
The home team also had three shots on goal and the away side had 1. The Yellow and Mauve went into the dressing room a goal down.
Medeama was given a penalty in the 52nd minute after striker Jonathan Sowah was brought down in the box. Jonathan Sowah stepped up, hit the ball to the but the goalkeeper dived to the left to make the save.
Goalkeeper Felix Kyei in the 58th minute made a save with one hand to stop Yanga from scoring their second goal.
The second goal finally came in the 61st minute through Zambian attacker Kennedy Musonda.
Medeama’s poor attempt to play the ball from the back helped Yanga score their third goal through Tanzania midfielder Mudathir Yahya in the 66th minute.
Jonathan Sowah was sent off for a second bookable offense in the 90th minute.
