Prominent gospel singer Amy Newman has said that majority of Christians today have the wrong idea of what makes them eligible candidates for heaven.
Speaking with Nana Benyin Crentsil on Y102.5FM’s “First Service,” she stated that living a morally upright life rather than merely being a Christian is the sole prerequisite that brings one to God’s side.
According to the music evangelist, many individuals are unaware of this factor and are living by the wrong ideologies of who a Christian is. “It is very difficult to answer when asked if there are Christians in Ghana.”
Evangelist Amy Newman highlighted the need for every Christian to uphold righteousness, which plays a role in making one a child of God, and an eligible candidate for heaven.
She therefore stated that all who do otherwise may consider themselves as eligible for heaven but are not. “We might claim to be Christians; Jesus Christ declared that he is coming to take the righteous, but that is not what God is coming to take; if you are aware that you are not righteous, disregard making it to heaven”, the ‘Ma Me Nka’ hit-maker explained.
