Chief Executive Officer of Africa Top Entrepreneur Awards scheme, Regina Adu Safowaa has urged all players in the entertainment industry to make a mark in every level of their career.
In an interview on Happy 98.9FM’s Evening Drive with host Akua Sika, the socialite noted that her big break came after being featured as lead act in a popular Ghanaian rum advert and used the exposure to make advancements in the entertainment industry. “I got the word of the commercial and I told the commercial producer not to take what is rightfully mine from me; I was not supposed to play the lead role but it came my way and I grasped it.”
Adu Safowaah relayed that her refusal to settle as the one known for just the rum commercial and made advancements into acting and show business which she hinted brought about more opportunities.”I did not want to go to people and be identified as the one who played the lead role for in the Adonko commercial; I always want to make an impact: I always want to do something different everyday; I still search for opportunities to make an impact.”
She advised all industry players to always strive for higher heights in the industry and always prepare by having an open mind to learn more. “I wanted to make use of the opportunity Adonko gave to me; I started as a thrift wear seller at Kantamanto and I was told I’d be a good actor by so many people who heard me speak; I studied all I needed to know online and now look at me; never see yourself as one who has reached the peak of success in this industry; always press on and always keep learning.” she said.
