Bankroller for King Faisal FC, Alhaji Grusah, has expressed his determination to continue the fight for justice in Ghana football despite the dismissal of their petition by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
“We have received the official ruling from CAS, but I can promise you that this is not the end,” Alhaji Grusah stated firmly in an interview on Happy FM,”We (King Faisal) petitioned for three points in a game where we were unfairly treated. We respect the ruling by CAS, but we want transparency to rule Ghana football, not selfishness by certain individuals.”
The dispute in question involved player Jireh Kojo Nissi/Isaac Mensah and alleged double registrations with Tamale City FC, which led to King Faisal’s relegation from the top-tier Ghanaian league. Despite the Ghana FA acknowledging the identity of the player, King Faisal’s appeal to the FA’s Appeal Committee was also denied.
Alhaji Grusah went on to reveal, “I have received calls to even withdraw my case about the GFA elections, but I won’t. We will fight injustice in Ghana Football till the end.”
The CAS decision, dated September 27, 2023, has upheld King Faisal’s relegation until a final verdict is reached in the main case.
