Newly appointed head coach of Bofoakwa Tano, Frimpong Manso, has spoken passionately about his vision for the team as they gear up for the upcoming Ghana Premier League (GPL) season.
Manso, a former Ghana international and an experienced coach, acknowledged the weight of expectations that come with leading a club with such a rich history.
“Bofoakwa Tano has a storied legacy in Ghanaian football, and I am truly honored to be at the helm of this great club. Our goal is to build on the foundation laid by my predecessor, Fuseini Abubakar, and elevate the team’s performance to new heights,” Manso said in an exclusive interview with Wamputu Sports.
Reflecting on the challenges ahead, Manso emphasized the importance of hard work and unity within the squad. “While we have made significant strides in our preparation, there’s still a lot of work to be done.
“The GPL is a competitive league, and every match will be a tough battle. We must work cohesively as a unit and ensure that every player is in top form,” he added.
Manso’s coaching journey, which includes stints at Nkoranza Warriors, Asante Kotoko, and Eleven Wonders, has provided him with a wealth of experience to draw upon. “I have managed different teams with varying strengths and weaknesses. This experience has given me valuable insights into effective tactics and strategies that can propel Bofoakwa Tano to success,” Manso explained.
Bofoakwa Tano’s return to the Ghana Premier League after a spell in the Division One League is a momentous occasion for the club and its fans. Manso spoke about his aspirations for the team: “Our aim is clear – to make a strong impact in the GPL. We want to play attractive, attacking football that excites our supporters while also delivering results on the pitch.”
The appointment of Manso signifies the club’s ambition to compete at the highest level of Ghanaian football. With his leadership and a dedicated squad, Bofoakwa Tano fans eagerly anticipate the upcoming season, hoping for a memorable campaign under Manso’s guidance.
