Lionel Messi is heading to yet another final in his career on September 27, after Inter Miami came back from 2-0 down to draw 3-3 and eventually win on penalties against Cincinnati.
The World Cup winner assisted two Leonardo Campana goals as the club clawed their way back into the game.
Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami reached the final of the US Open Cup following a dramatic 3-3 comeback and win in a penalty shoot-out.
Eighteen-year-old Miami-born Benjamin Cremaschi converted the winning penalty to send them through to the final where they will host Houston Dynamo on September 27.
Should they win, that will be Messi’s second second trophy in the States as they scooped the League Cup on penalties against Nashville on Saturday.
The club remains unbeaten since the signing of Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
