Ghanaian Media Personality and host of Happy98.9FM’s Evening Drive Show, Akua Sika has asserted that music gives a glimpse at the happenings of the world.

Sharing her thoughts at the “Return Conversation” organized by the Ghana Tourism Authority under the theme, “Role of Film and Music in unifying Global Africa”, she believes the only tool that has the power to show people what goes on around different parts of the world is through music.

According to her, most music artistes tell their story with carefully selected words chunked in their music hence people in other parts of the world going through the same experience find it easy to adapt to.

The Ghanaian media personality believes it is essential to pay attention to the affection a song carries than just dancing to it, “because it is influencial and has great impact which people can relate to.”

“Music is the best tool to carry the message across, now Afro beat is everywhere you go globally there is no better way to tell our stories than combining music and film. Visually you are seeing the culture being displayed and the stories being told about how we go about our day to day activities. Most of the songs that we hear talks about our struggles and experiences, so they are things we can relate to.”
