Head coach of Dreams FC, Karim Zito, has acknowledged that lifting the 2023 FA Cup wasn’t easy, but is happy to have won it.
Dreams FC won their first major trophy on Sunday after a 2-0 victory over King Faisal at the Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
Goals from Abdul Aziz Issah and Sadiq Alhassan in the 18th minute and 70th minute respectively sealed the deal for the ‘Still Believe’ lads.
Coach Zito in an interview on Happy FM revealed that being haunted by relegation in the Premier League at some point and staying in the FA Cup was an onerous task.
“I’m very happy to win the FA Cup. Even when we were at the bottom of the league, we remained focused despite how difficult it was. We now return to focusing on the champion after placing sixth and the necessary preparations are being put in place”.
As FA Cup champions, Dreams FC have booked a spot in the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup.
