Head Coach for Ghana Premier League side Kotoku Royals, John Eduafo says his side’s hard work in the month of March in the ongoing 2022/23 betPawa GPL has paid off.
Kotoku Royals bagged four nominations for the NASCO Month Award for March.
Their battle to escape relegation received a massive boost with three of their outstanding players being nominated for the NASCO Player of the Month Award for March.
Andy Kumi, Richard Dzikoe, and Collins Kofi Cudjoe were nominated for the monthly award after their team’s impressive run of results last month.
Head coach John Eduafo also received a nomination.
Speaking in an interview on Happy FM, head coach for the Royals, John Eduarfo said, “These nominations clearly show that Kotoku Royals is pulling weights in the league. Three of our outstanding attackers(Andy Kumi, Richard Dzikoe, and Collins Kofi Cudjoe) have all been nominated including me is a fact no one can deny that Kotoku Royals are doing something right”.
”I will applaud the players for their efforts because they are showing Ghanaians what they are made off. Though we are conceding in almost every match, I think with time, the new players will adapt and we will solve that situation,” he told Joe Debrah host of Wamputu Sports.
Coach John Eduarfo, however, tipped Bechem United coach, Evans Augustine Addo to win the award based on statistics for March.
Three Coaches have been nominated for the NASCO Coach of the Month Award.
Bechem United’s Ocansey Mingle and Medeama SC’s new technical head Evans Augustine Adotey have also been nominated for the monthly award along with Kotoku’s John Eduafo.
The winner of the award is expected to be announced in the next edition of the GFA News Programme on Friday.
The winner will receive a 43-inch NASCO television from Electroland Ghana Limited.
