Ghanaian Bible Scholar, Obadiah Amankwah, has disclosed that Easter has been misinterpreted to Christians and is not supposed to be a time to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as Christians have been made to believe.
Talking to Rev. Nyansa Boakwa on Happy 98.9FM’s NsemPii, he said, “There was a mistranslation in the book of Acts 12:4. Instead of passover, they said it was Easter, but it is wrong. Easter is the celebration of a goddess which most people are unaware of.”
He mentioned that the goddess behind the festival is called the Easter goddess, and that is where the name Easter was derived from. “The symbol used for their festival is a rabbit and colored egg.”
“This is why Hosea 4:6 says for lack of knowledge my people perish.”
The Bible Scholar emphasized Christians need to read and be vigilant because, “we have been deceived right from the beginning and they continue to deceive us if we do not learn.”
