Ghana midfielder Baba Iddrisu has been cleared to play in the Black Stars third group game against Comoros on Tuesday after an injury scare.
The Real Mallorca midfielder picked up an injury in Ghana’s game against Gabon on Friday in the second half and was replaced by Edmund Addo.
After checks by the medical team, the 26-year-old has been cleared to play the game should he be selected by the coach for the game against Comoros.
Baba Iddrisu trained with the Black Stars on Saturday at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo annex stadium.
Meanwhile, Mubarak Wakaso and David Abagna Sandan are still on the treatment table.
Wakaso is yet to feature for the Black Stars in this competition due to injury.
The former Deportivo Alaves midfielder is racing against time to be fit for the game against Comoros. Wakaso is likely to miss this encounter due to his situation.
Also, Real Tamale United midfielder David Abagna Sandan has sustained an injury and is not likely to feature in the tournament for the Black Stars.
David Abagna Sandan is injured and did not train with the team before they moved to Garoua for their next game against Comoros on Tuesday.
The Black Stars will be hoping to beat Comoros in their last Group C game on Tuesday in order to have a chance of making the Round of 16.
Ghana have just one point out of two games and must win to ensure they progress.
Joseph Paintsil after the draw against Gabon on Friday is confident the team will beat Comoros to secure passage to the next round.
“All we have to do is go in all out in the next game and take the three points which is very important. Just like how we played against Gabon, we must go all out and get the win”, he said.
The team left Yaounde for Garoua yesterday and will hold their final training session today.
