Several Ghanaians have taken to social media to throw weighty support behind the Men’s National Team as they look forward to their first game against Morocco, in what appears to be a tough test for the Black Stars.
Despite having fewer hopes of how far the country could go in the competition, most Ghanaians including influencers and celebrities have led the charge to root for the team. Notable names include rapper, M.anifest who has exhibited patriotism away from home in the host nation, Cameroon, musical duo, Keche, and others.
The United States Ambassador to Ghana was also seen in fully clothed Black stars souvenirs as a sign of support for the team.
The Black Stars of Ghana would commence their 2021 AFCON campaign against the Atlas Lions of Morocco and would hope to start the tournament on the front foot.
Below are some reactions of Ghanaians on social media;
