Chief Executive Officer of IPro Solutions Limited, Samuel Forson has expressed pride over the involvement of indigenous technology companies in the process of digitizing Ghana’s economy.
During an interview with Samuel Eshun, host of the Happy Morning show, Samuel Forson said, “My immediate reaction after the Vice President’s speech was nothing but pride. I was proud as a Ghanaian, not because the government is implementing these things, but for the fact that most of the solutions spelt out were in partnership with local Ghanaian companies. That makes me proud as a Ghanaian IT person, knowing that our people are realizing we have Ghanaian solutions for Ghanaian people.”
The IT expert also applauded the government for organizing the lecture and bringing out some solutions he, and probably most Ghanaians did not know were being implemented. He said it was satisfactory to know the Ghana Card and the digital address system were solutions to other problems.
On November 2, the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia conveyed his speech on the government’s digitization drive at the Ashesi University.
His delivery on the theme, USING DIGITALIZATION TO TRANSFORM AN ECONOMY – THE GHANA STORY, has brought lots of applauds as well as criticisms from Ghanaians.
