Ghana international, Jordan Ayew says he had trying moments during his time at Aston Villa,
Ayew joined Swansea City from Aston Villa in the January transfer window, after Ghana’s campain in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
He has indicated that he lost his confidence level during his time at Aston Villa and he is grateful that Swansea has handed him another opportunity to get it back.
“Last year I wasn’t consistent. Why? I don’t know, maybe because of the situation,” Ayew told Daily Mail
“But now I’m coming into a team where I feel the confidence from the club, the coach and the players.
“I have not really enjoyed my football for the last 18 months. But Swansea have given me the chance to come here and I just want to do my best.”
Jordan Ayew completed a move from Marseille to Aston Villa last season and his eight goals for the side were not enough to prevent them from being relegated for the first time in the Premier League.
The Ghana striker struggled to make an impact in the Championship and had to lose his starting place, before he joind the Black Stars for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
