Election 2020: Hassan Tampuli beats wins Gushegu seat

The Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority and NPP’s Parliamentary candidate for the Gushegu constituency in the Northern region, Hassan Tampuli, has beaten NDC’s Mohammed Yussif Malimali in the parliamentary race.

Hassan Tampuli won the seat with 30,373 votes while his main contender polled 28,059 votes.

Hassan Tampuli was endorsed as the ‘consensus’ NPP parliamentary candidate for Gushegu Constituency after two aspirants namely incumbent Member of Parliament for Gushegu, Dr Ziblim Iddi, and Mahama Osman, pulled out of the race at the last minute.
