Ghanaian musician cum evangelist, Akua Emelia has disclosed how she gets passengers from ‘trotro’ she travels in to give offerings whilst insisting that she takes no money from passengers after preaching.
According to the musician who travels in ‘trotro’ frequently she just takes offerings from passengers but does not demand any money from them.
“I have never preached and taken money before. But I only take offering. Yes, I mean free-will offering”, she told DJ Advicer, host of the Ayekoo After Drive on Happy 98.9 FM.
Narrating how she got passengers one time to give a huge amount of offering after preaching in the trotro, Akua Emelia said;
“After preaching one time, I told them I have stayed in Europe most of my life and that I have everything I need. I told them I didn’t come for their money but to preach the word of God”.
After making these passengers understand that she needed nothing from them, Akua Emelia revealed that that statement alone got her one of the largest offering in her trotro preaching ‘career’.
“After this, they all gave offering and when I checked, it was 100 cedis”.
The Italian based musician with the passion for the work of God who also loves to help the needy donated this amount to street beggars.
The musician highly believes in the philosophy ‘givers’ never lack and has made it her passion to lend a helping hand to the less priviledged.
