Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak shared the spoils of their league clash today after playing-out a 1-1 draw at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The goal unsettled the Phobians, who prior to that were dominating possession and appeared more likely to score.
The Porcupine Warriors went into the break with a goal advantage and a 59 per cent stake of ball possession.
Kotoko’s dominance continued after the break till the 51st minute when Hearts playmaker, Isaac Mensah seized upon a loose pass in midfield and lofted a pass to the feet of his teammate Patrick Razak who made no mistake with only the keeper Ernest Sowah in his way.
Razak trapped the pass with his first touch before placing a delicate shot past the onrushing Sowah.
The respective coaches of Hearts and Kotoko, Sergio Traguil and Michael Osei were not pleased with the draw and tried to secure all three points by making a flurry of attacking substiutions.
However, the likes of striker Seidu Bancey who replaced Dauda Mohammed for Kotoko and Musah Ibrahim who came on for the ineffective Samuel Yeboah were unable to find the net
