Black stars gaffer Avram Grant has kept faith in his starting line-up against Uganda as his side plays The Eagles of Mali today, but for crocked Baba Rahman whose place has been taken by Frank Acheampong.
Aston Villa attacker Jordan Ayew, who was heavily vilified for his performance against Uganda, has kept his place in the starting line-up just as Harrison Afful who also seemingly had a poor game, keeps his starting berth.
Man-of-the-match in the Ghana-Uganda clash, Christian Atsu will be expected to open the space on the right side of Ghana’s attack while deputy skipper Andre Ayew would do likewise on the left flank.
Captain and Talisman of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan will lead the lines for the four-time African champions and would seek to increase his AFCON goals tally from seven.
Atletico Madrid’s mercurial midfielder Thomas Partey who had a blistering game in his maiden AFCON appearance will partner Mubarak Wakaso while Leicester City’s Daniel Amartey and John Boye will marshall the defense.
Below is the Black Stars starting line-up Mali:
Razak Brimah
Harrison Afful
Frank Acheampong
John Boye
Daniel Amartey
Mubarak Wakaso
Thomas Partey
Christian Atsu
Jordan Ayew
Asamoah Gyan
Andre Ayew
Ghana’s game again Mali is at 4pm GMT.
