90-yr-old Cameroonian President makes major changes in military, hours after Gabon coup

Cameroonian President Paul Biya has carried out some major changes in the Cameroonian army few hours after a military takeover in Gabon.

It is unclear what may have triggered the decision of one of Africa’s oldest presidents, who is 90 years, to make the significant changes in the Ministry of Defence.

Paul Biya who has been in power since 1975 reshuffling of the military came with new appointments.

An official document coming from the president himself made its way to Twitter.

The document is in French, the official language of communication and instruction in Cameroon.
