Former Ghana Under-20 star, Ibrahim Moro is nearing his nationality switch to Togo ahead of next month’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) billed to be staged in Gabon.
The mercurial midfielder, who scored the only goal that won New Edubiase United the Ghana FA Cup in 2012, is set to meet some officials of the Togolese FA in France for his Passport which will make eligible to feature for the West African country.
Moro, 23, has sent a letter to FIFA seeking to be cleared to play for Togo after having featured for Ghana’s national under-20 side.
He was included in Ghana’s provisional squad for the 2015 AFCON but failed to make the final 23-man list.
Despite being in blistering form for Silkerborg IF in the Danish Superliga and being constantly overlooked by the Ghana National team handlers, the midfield maestro is looking to make a lasting impression if he gets the nod to join the Hawks of Togo for the 2017 AFCON.
