Jose Mourinho has slammed Michael Owen saying Zlatan Ibrahimovic would score more goals than him in one season than he would manage in three.
The Manchester United boss was talking to Jake Humphrey on BT Sport when he claimed the former Red Devils striker did not like the Swedish forward.
He then pointed out that Owen only managed to score 17 goals in three seasons at Old Trafford, whereas Ibrahimovic, who has already bagged 13 in all competitions, can match that in one.
Mourinho said: “Zlatan is almost there in six months so he is not a bad choice for us.”

Owen responded to the comment by saying: “managers are getting awfully touchy,” before explaining what sparked the remark.
According to the former England international, he said that the Swedish striker was not the “long term” replacement up front for United.

He added that the club will ultimately have to look for the ‘next best thing’ and not someone coming towards the end of their career.
