Wakaso Starts Training With New Club Panathinaikos

Ghana’s mercurial midfielder, Mubarak Wakaso, has started training with new Greek club Panathinaikos ahead of the season.

The former Villarreal player who played for Las Palmas on loan in the Spanish La Liga last season joined Michael Essien’s former club Panathinaikos from Rubin Kazan.

The 26-year-old Ghana international signed a three-year deal with his new team.

Wakaso has already started training with the Greek side as he joined his teammates and coaching staff for preparations towards the new season.

The team had some tactical talks before being taken through their paces at the club’s training grounds. The players then had some time with kicks on the ball before bringing the training session to an end.

Wakaso joins Panathinaikos at a time where international teammate Michael Essien leaves. The former Chelsea and Real Madrid star played in Greece last season but was not part of the registered members of the team for next season.
