NPP declares victory, wants Prez Mahama to concede

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) says it is on the way to win the 2016 general election and wants President John Mahama to concede ahead of the formal declaration of the results by the Electoral Commission.

The National Campaign Manager of NPP, Mr Peter Mac Manu, urged President Mahama to concede defeat because his party has built-up an unassailable lead.He says per the party’s “parallel” counting of results from polling station pink sheets, Nana Addo has amassed 54% out of 80% of the votes counted so far.
He said, Nana has secured 4.6 million votes while incumbent President John Mahama has 3.694 million votes.
He also said the NPP was on the way to amass more parliamentary seats than the ruling NDC, calling the development a “tsunami”.
