Deputy skipper of the Black Stars, Andre Ayew has calmed Ghanaian nerves after insisting that the 2018 World Cup qualifier against the Pharaohs of Egypt is an important one but not the decider to determine who goes top the mundial.
There is pressure on the Black Stars to win away and revive their campaign after an opening 0-0 draw at home with Uganda.
Egypt are top of the Group E after rallying to win 2-1 at Congo Brazzaville last month.
The local media have tagged this as a must-win but the West Ham United star has played it down.
”Well, must is a big word. Whether we like it or not, after this we will be left with four matches. This game is a very very important one but it’s not the decider. What is important is that we go, play our football and make sure we leave Egypt with something,” Ayew said.
