Black Stars are nothing without Asamoah Gyan- Elmohamady

Egypt defender Ahmed Elmohamady has stated that Ghana is nothing without their skipper Asamoah Gyan.

Gyan who tormented Egypt in 2013 during the Brazil World qualifiers is not available for selection on Sunday following an injury he sustained whiles playing for club side Al Ahli.

This comes as a great piece of news to the Egyptians who are hoping to clinch all three points to keep their hopes of making a first World since 1990 alive.

Ahmed Elmohamady who is a former teammate of Gyan at Sunderland during the 2010/11 season in the English Premiership is confident of a victory at the Alexandria stadium.

“We’re confident of beating Ghana because of the form we showed against Congo. Our only miss on Sunday will be Mahmoud Kahraba, but they will be without arguably their best player and without him they nothing,” says Elmohamady on Egyptian TV CNC.

“We’ll make sure we take all three points and without the win we might be in deep waters because when you compare our subsequent away games in the group. Insha Allah victory will be ours.”
