Former Chairman of Central Regional Football Association, MNS Doe has suggested that local players should be given a chance in the Black Stars instead of Kevin Prince Boateng.
There have been divergent opinions on Kevin Prince Boateng since he declared his intentions of returning to the Black Stars’ fold, two years after the famous Brazil debacle, where he was thrown out of camp for showing gross indiscipline to then then head coach kwesi Appiah.
Following the recent form Kevin has exhibited in the Spanish Liga Santander for his club UD Las Palmas, many believe his inclusion in the team could help the Stars in their crunch tie against Egypt in the upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifier, but MNS Doe thinks Avram Grant should use the slot the player is campaigning for to give local players the chance to excel on the international stage.
“Why should he be invited:?” MNS Doe quizzed on Happy FM.
“The Black Stars is not built around one player, it’s a team and as a team, you don’t let one player disrupt the good work you’ve done over years. When a player exhibit indiscipline to the highest order by rejecting a Committee set up by the government just for further clarification, why should he come and join the team again.”
“We have so many good local players who can fix into his position easily. They also need that call-up to show the world their worth and I don’t believe there’s any human being on this earth who is not indispensable. Give the boys here chance in his stead.”
