President John Dramani Mahama has revealed that, USD 400 million was spent on the Agenda 111 project, describing it as a “Knee- jerk” reaction during the COVID – 19 pandemic.

According to him, not a single facility has been operationalized after spending such an amount on the project.

“It is worth disclosing that USD400m has already been disbursed under agenda 111 project”

President Mahama indicated that, “if this amount had been used appropriately, it would have completed and made operational about 22 of these hospitals”

The Agenda 111 project, was introduced under President Akufo- Addo during the COVID- 19 pandemic to construct about 111 health facilities across the country to bridge the healthcare system gap.
