Accra Great Olympics midfield dynamo, Emmanuel Amartey is set to follow his brother Daniel Amartey to the King Power stadium after receiving a two-week trial invitation from Leicester City.
The play maker was ever present in the Great Olympics team that conquered the Zone 3 of the just ended GN Division One to book their Premiership return next season, and his strong performances have attracted the English Premiership Champions to invite him to the club’s Braunstone Lane training ground to begin a two-week trial.
According to close sources, Claudio Ranieri was first alerted to the player by Daniel Amartey in the latter part of last season’s English Premiership and has been following the progress of the young midfielder over the course of the season.
The Foxes are noted for their high intensity football and work rate, and Emmanuel Amartey falls in line with the criteria Claudio Ranieri requires from a midfielder as he could play behind the strikers and in the channels, and also technically adept at opening up defences.
