Ghana international Sulley Muntari will be €5m richer in 14 days following FIFA’ decision to order his former club Ittihad Jeddah to pay him for breach of contract.
Muntari, 33, dragged the Saudi Pro League giants to FIFA after the club failed to pay his wages and bonuses during his time with them.
Reports in Saudi Arabia press have it that the club had not paid the player since joining the club and upon his resignation, they could not settle him.
The former AC and Inter Milan midfielder then turned in the direction of FIFA to seek redress and justice.
Ittihad Jeddah have only 14 working days to pay the said amount to the midfielder who is currently unattached.
The former Portsmouth man joined the Saudi Arabia giants on 28 July 2015 on a two-year deal believed to be worth €6 million but terminated his contract with the side after the club failed to reached their part of the bargain.
Sulley is clubless now but is seeking to land a new club in the January transfer window.
