Former Accra Great Olympics Coach, David Duncan has labeled the just ended Ghana Premier League as ‘rubbish’.
David Duncan, who was relieved of his duty as the head trainer of Asante Kotoko in the early stage of the league after the team’s poor start to the season reiterated his belief that the just ended elite league should not be hailed as one of the best in recent time due to the pre-determined of results in the final leg of matches.
“People should desist from praising the outcome of the league because in my opinion it’s total rubbish,” the outspoken Duncan declared on Vision1 sports.
“How can a league result be pre-determined even before a ball is kicked? I don’t buy into this league being of the best we’ve witnessed in recent time. There should be no awards night to honour anybody, because everything about the league was bogus. It was all kinds of negative things that are not permitted in association football.”
Wa All-stars emerged as winners at the end of the season with 51 points from 30 matches, followed by Aduana stars, Hearts of Oak and Medeama SC in respective order.
