The Black Stars have suffered another setback in the going 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers after drawing at home to Sudan.
Ghana who were led by captain Kudus Mohammed couldn’t hit the ball to the back of the net as the game with the Sudanese ended goalless at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Otto Addo and his team despite getting majority of the ball in terms of possession couldn’t make it count as the strikers blew the chances away.
Antione Semenyo, Inaki Williams, Kudus Mohammed and Fatawu Issahaku all had chances to put Ghana ahead in the second half as Sudan goalkeeper Mohamed Mustapha saved all the efforts.
The draw is a good result for Sudan who has maintained their second position on the Group F table ahead of the second leg on Monday, October 15, 2024.
Ghana on the other hand will be going into the match day 4 fixtures in the qualifiers with just a point after three games.
