Head coach of the Black Stars, Chris Hughton is confident that Ghana will beat the Central African Republic on Thursday, September 7.
He, however, insists that the Black Stars would need the support of Ghanaians at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to make that possible.
Speaking to the press before the crucial 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) encounter, Coach Chris Hughton rallied for fans to come to the stadium in their numbers to cheer on the national team.
“There are no easy games in this group home or away. The level of African football has improved I think significantly over the years which means there are no easy games. We have to treat the opposition with respect but we are playing at home here in Kumasi in front of our own supporters and we hope that they can drive us to the victory that we want,” Coach Chris Hughton said.
Ghana hosts the Central African Republic tomorrow in a game scheduled to kick off at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium at 4p.m.
Ghana needs just a point to qualify for the 2023 AFCON.
